ReplyDeleteDo people like LFTC? I only know about it from the show, but I don't have favorable impression of it. Much like how Anthony doesn't want to hear a jam band aimlessly dick around on guitar for 2 hours, I don't want to listen to the radio show equivalent of that. A drunk guy that thinks he is a great singer doing Neil Diamond covers, special guest "the high school girl he's fucking that week", and racist rants about how he is being bled dry, all brought to us from the safety and opulence of Xanadu.
DeleteOpie wants some quality time with his kids before Lindsey takes them. I have no doubt that she will get them as she only needs to play clips of the show to support her claim. No judge is going to give the kids to a self-confessed "psycho" with delusions of persecution by the haters.

DeleteOh great, I gave them credit awhile back for not starting every show with a fucking sound check, and I assumed that was due to an extremely delayed sense of awareness of how ridiculous it is, but I guess not. At least this problem is related to new headphones, so that is progress over the days when it happened every day.
ReplyDeleteThese guys constantly go after the news ("news readers") for getting things wrong, but they make heavy use of that content and have trouble reading and following even the simplest of stories on their own show due to a mix of stupidity and a lack of preparedness. I'm not holding them to any journalistic standard, just one of basic reading comprehension. I find it humorous when the story is "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" and they fumble around for 5 minutes trying to figure out the color of the fox.
ReplyDeleteThere are a myriad of examples, but the most recent one is when they are trying to figure out the Jay Z copyright infringement story and read and article that was obviously about a different song (to me who doesn't know shit about Jay Z) and didn't even pick up on it until Sam pointed it out. I suppose that for Opie he was just focused on waiting for an opening to throw out his inane "Why does that make him a genius?" line in an attempt to make it stick.
