DeleteAnt takes some of this shit too seriously to believe that he's really acting. To some degree, you could say that Ant in real life is probably an actual racist, but he's not one of those KKK types either or as entertainingly exaggerated on the radio. As long as he's not trying to incite riots or anything, Ant can believe whatever he wants.

DeleteI don't think he has an agenda such as stopping black people from getting into college or getting jobs. He just wants black people to get their shit together which is reasonable position that everyone is afraid to take. Ok, I'll rephrase... Ant rages about black crime A LOT! To a point where you'd think no other race commits crime and in recent months he has become a broken record. Not saying he wants to go back to slavery and colored bathrooms but his ranting about black crime is getting out of control.
DeleteUse Op as an example, there was a time that him railing the idiot management was rather funny and kinda interesting as I like the 'behind the scenes' stuff and some of my favorite O&A moments are the fights between guys on the show. But now whenever Op starts on management, I want to get in a car and speed directly into a pole.
I do however agree 100,000,000,000,000% about those fucking interns, I am praying that don't follow in the footsteps of Sal and get hired once their semester is over.
You guys must truly hate listening to this show. Every comment on every show is always the same people bitching about the same hosts. Yet, you tune in every god damn day because you love listening to the guys.
ReplyDeleteWhat you people fail to realize is that Op is actually extremely "edgy" and has quite the set of balls. We all know it. We've seen it MULTIPLE times. He's just so sick and tired of management that has a stranglehold on the shows capabilities. Unfortunately, this limits Op's production value into the show making him less entertaining.
Ant with his Zimmerman thing, i'll admit, I love listening to the guys too but i'm tired of hearing the Zimmerman thing. Probably because I live in Canada so this has zero relevance to my life. Ant probably is a legitimate racist, but so what. He's just sick and tired of people being so politically correct that he lets out his frustration on air. The downside for us is that it is his show (And Op's). But considering you all hate Op, and dislike Ant's ranting...what's the point of even listening? Just for that one little hope that there will be a "decent" show?
I'm not asking for a cookie, or any bullshit, but i listen to the show from start to finish every day. Why? Because I am a fan of the show. This is what fans do. You don't fucking slander the hosts. If you do, you're not a fan. Don't claim you are.

DeleteIf you watch sports and have a favourite team im sure u critize some of the player s or the teama decisions, however u still enjoy watching ( listening) cuz all and all u enjoy thw product I see nothing wrong with people not liking one part of the radip show or guest... the show isnt perfect but its OUR team/show so evem if itnhasnt won in weeks or. In there case, done a good show in weeks we know they ll right the ship sooner or later.

Opie and Anthony encourage this type of interaction because in fact that is what they do and how they got where they are. They are haters, and douches, and despicable people, but that doesn't mean they aren't head and shoulders above most other shows. When I'm not here I'm talking trash on the Gary Glitter message board while rocking out to "Rock and Roll part 2".
