They don't know what the fuck they're talking about and they're wrong (about pretty much everything - names, scores, dates, rules, etc.) roughly 80% of the time. And whoever claimed the Opester has "an eye for talent" needs to remember that he's responsible for pushing Sam upon us. Christ would he just shut the fuck up, at least during the regular show.

DeleteI find following sports pretty pointless, even more pointless than following a radio show..., but I don't mind a little talk on sports now and again especially considering it is mostly about the scandals off the field or whether Jim had a bad experience trying to get a photo.
DeleteAs for Sam, he gets a bad rap, and that is because he is terrible. The only problem is that no one has come through the O&A combine that is better than him. Can you think of anyone that should be in his position? Sam is the cream of their crop because their crops have been so bad for so long.
Sports and Technology two things they should never talk about since they don't know anything about either. Also add animals to that list too. Really hunting is awful? I don't hunt, nor do I like guns, but I understand the existence of both. Sorry Jim we all can't be like you and take home people of questionable sex every night since we're filling some void in our lives. Also Apple didn't invent shit, they are in my opinion thieves and cowards. So glad Jobs is dead, he was the biggest cancer on technology and technological progress.

DeleteI think the formerly great Ron Bennington belabored the point that Opie had an eye for talent in his concession speech. I don't know what to believe from him anymore, though, as he has been lying a lot lately and has completely debased himself in submission to the true destroyer on The Virus channel: Fez Whatley.

DeleteI almost feel bad for him dragging out hack bits that he should have left in the closet, because he has done that so many times before, and he always go right back to where he was within a day or two. Ron usually gives him a little bit of a pass, and it makes it really tense because you don't know when Ron is going to eventually halt the show and say "you've been pretty quiet over there today Fez.".
Did I have a stroke? Lady Di and Colin Quinn again? I am not complaining though.

ReplyDeleteI think some people here are just frustrated with the increased reliance on ranting and music breaks lately and in that sense, I can see where they're coming from. I haven't had as much time to listen regularly but that seems to be what's going on right now. The show's having another slump creatively. I'm waiting for a big event that will help the show get back on track like with the Tequila and Donuts Day bit.
