No worries. I'm sure you'll get into the swing of things in no time like you already were at the end of 2012.
ReplyDeleteThe O&A community (outside of Sirius/XM subscribers) thank you for your service (hard pat on the back). We all have different reasons for why we need a source such as yourself but without you my days would be fucking miserable so whatever you can give us is more than greatly appreciated.
Thanks for all the effort you are putting into this.
ReplyDeleteI have siriusxm but i still need a download for when I'm not in my car.thanks for what you do.
ReplyDeleteThis is much appreciated mate, thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteIs this the kind of time you will be posting the shows most days?
Thanks very much for continuing this service! I too rely it on a bit too heavily I must admit. If anyone is interested, I can try to start the tradition of the show rundowns like last year's paged use to have but of course you'll have to wait until I'm done listening to the download.
ReplyDeleteOh..and remember.. Jay Mohr's new sports talk show starts at 9am PST on Fox Sports Radio..
Cheers! For archival purposes, if you would like to submit today's rundown, I will add it to the post description. Just reply here and well git' er done.
Deleteyou'll be famous.
Sorry this took sooooooo long... Busy day at work and I don't like to miss a word of the show!

Great job! Don't worry about tardiness, it's only for archives. When that random person is searching for a certain show a year from now, they will be able to this. Since I can't take notes on the live show, feel free to keep em coming!
DeleteNext to add to blog: Search Feature.
Thanks man, this is awesome! Working from home just got that much better :)
ReplyDeleteI am a SiriusXM subscriber with XMO, but they don't meet my needs. O&A on demand takes forever to get posted. I do shift work, for instance today I leave 2pm, you have it up, they don't. I thank you very much for your time and effort. happy new year.
ReplyDeletedude, like many others, I also subscribe but do to an unwanted hectic and busy life the only time I can actually listen is at work so thank you for all your effort. Trust me when you're shaking your head at having to decided to do this just remember there are many of us out there that are grateful to peeps like you for taking on this task. If it ever gets hard perhaps you could show some of us how you go about doing the prep work.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I try to download the files, they stop at around 10%. Anyone else with this problem?
ReplyDeleteyes i can only download about 20%
DeleteHey guys, does the issue persist? what are you using to download, mobile or PC?
DeleteLet me know all the details, and well see if we can get a ticket logged.
It was on PC. I tried about 10 times throughout the day and it kept doing the same thing. I could only get 19 minutes of the show. I also tried using the player on their site and it would stop and skip to the next track after 12 and a half minutes.
DeleteIt seems like the problem may be local, so keep on trying.
DeleteI would suggest to use Explorer instead of firefox or Chrome, also check your firewall settings.
If by tomorrow you can't seem to get it working, comment on that post and well open a ticket, and post the show to mediafire.
Tunnel troomping!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. This is much preferred to my online account, as it's the only way I can listen offline and not miss anything. Does anyone know how the Audible files are?
ReplyDeleteTnx, much appreciated!
ReplyDelete"THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE"
ReplyDeletethank you sir
ReplyDeletehow long is it taking for you guys to download it
thank you for taking over for the other blog. this makes my hour commute by subway infinitely better!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, I just heard the Jim Brewer story he told about being in Iowa and I'm betting he was staying at the Hotel Julien in downtown Dubuque. It really is a gorgeous hotel after they remodeled it - it has a very old school vibe.
Thank you so much for keeping this up. As someobe from the philippines, youre my only resource for this amzing show.
ReplyDeleteWow. I actually got to hear what the intro sounds like. And the production in and out of breaks too?? I love this new site already!!
ReplyDeletethank you for this, perhaps you can fulfill a year of O&A for scum like me, but if not i'll take as much as i can get.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the uploads , you made this Nyc cabby very happy. :-) (In Ireland) love the sounds of home..........Liam
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a great job
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the uploads!
Thanks for the effort!
ReplyDeleteDo you think maybe you could cut the intro from now on (I mean just the Ecstasy of Gold part)? I don't know how the others feel about it but I don't really want to hear it every time.
Ever hear of a fast forward button?
DeleteI don't think anything should be cut out of the show. It should be recorded the way it is presented. It always annoys me when the uploader thinks he has editorial control over what parts of the show we should and shouldn't hear. I'd rather get the whole show with commercials than to have anything cut out. I can easily skip what I don't care for.
In essence of size when uploading to share sites, shows with intros and commercials etc prove to be problematic. Users with mobile phones or Ipods already have limited space if the listener is downloading everyday. Understand that there is about 4 commercial breaks that each about 15 minutes long. that could add up to or over an hour of wasted space.
DeleteHowever, I don't cut any show content other than the Ecstasy of Gold and live reads. Unless of course they are funny or relevant to the show.
Tell you what. The day I start uploading these myself then I'll start making requests to cut intros. You can upload these however you want. I'll skip the intro myself. We are in your debt.
